Detail: Barn Jackets are Wythe's interpretation of the workwear-staple coveralls originally from the early 1900s. Seen most often in the railway industry, liberty stripes and hickory stripes were hard-wearing, breathable, and a fabric that was readily available. It hid dirt and grime particularly well which made it ideal for that kind of industry. You can find the earliest examples of this fabric from old railway workers hats, which were extremely necessary to keep the ash and cinder out of the workers' eyes. Soon, the jackets, dungarees, and coveralls followed suit.
Triple needle seams. One acorn flap chest pocket. One snap-closure chest pocket with pen pocket. Vintage-inspired green bar-tacks. Double shank cuffs.
